DFW Terminal D Construction Support Services

Client: Dallas/Ft. Worth International Airport

Prime: Ross & Baruzzini (via HKS)

The fast track, design-build Terminal D project included a 2 million-sq.-ft. terminal, an 8,100-space parking facility, and three levels of roadways with related ramps. The terminal is a hybrid structure with cast-in-place concrete and structural steel. It has a federal inspection facility capable of processing 2,800 international passengers per hour. The structure has seven levels divided by activities and 23 swing gates able to handle wide- or narrow-body aircraft.

Creelman supported the project by coordinating the design, installation and testing of the telecommunications system and by responding to Requests for Information, resolving contractor issues as directed, attending contractor meetings, and conducting job walks to verify construction associated with Design Change Notices.
